The First International TESOL Persia Conference: Research and Specialization in Applied Linguistics – October 31 and November 1, 2011 .

The First International TESOL Persia Conference will be held in Tehran’s Milad Tower Conference Hall on October 31 and November 1, 2011. The conference aims at exploring some current issues in applied linguistics that have shaped, and are still shaping the identity of the profession. Applied linguists from across the globe are invited to contribute to a lively debate that would include ideas from some of the prominent figures of the field.

Different themes, such as language testing, teacher education, form-focused instruction, and critical aspects of ELT will be explored in the course of the two-day event.

The deadline for abstract submission is August 6, 2011 (Mordad 15, Persian calendar). Notification of acceptance will be sent by August 27 (Shahrivar 5, Persian calendar).
